Carroll Ecology would like to welcome Stuart MacDonald to the team.
Stuart worked as a ranger in the Pentland Hills Regional Park. Here he managed two SSSIs, one wetland and one upland, before switching to lecturing in countryside management at Elmwood College.
He coordinated a seven year study of red squirrel habitat utilisation in Tentsmuir Forest and delivered units in biodiversity conservation and ecology.
He is a member of the Tayside Raptor Study Group, monitoring goshawk, peregrine, barn owl and raven in Fife and a former member of the editorial team for the Fife Bird Report.
Working as a field ornithologist has taken him the length and breadth of upland Scotland and to the Western Isles. He is particularly fond of divers and raptors. He birds throughout the UK with Norfolk and the Uists particular favourites.
